Twenty Two Services Pty Ltd trading as Twenty Two Service and Distribution have been the Australian distributor for Sherwin-Williams (formerly Becker Acroma) since 1984 after its director Ron Manley was introduced to the European coatings manufacturer at a trade show in Singapore. Located in Perth, Western Australia, the business evolved from initially bringing in product for his father's bedroom furniture manufacturing company and grew into a concern of its own as word got out around the trade of a new product called an acid catalysing lacquer! Business increased as did staff and stock holdings to make Twenty Two Services Pty Ltd the market leader in the quality and commercial end of the furniture manufacturing industry.
Towards the end of 2000 Twenty Two Services Pty Ltd moved from cramped premises in Maylands to a new much larger, purpose built factory in Neerabup. The Neerabup factory and offices have enabled Twenty Two Service Pty Ltd to become more efficient, majorly increase stock holdings to facilitate further growth and provided opportunity to diversify into other industries and areas such as toll manufacturing. In 2008 Twenty Two Services Pty Ltd again expanded their Neerabup factory to almost double the size of their facilities.
VICTORIA
In approximately 1992, Twenty Two Services Pty Ltd was approached by Trevor Jones who wanted to promote the Sherwin-Williams (formerly Becker Acroma) product range as our agent in Victoria. Trevor ran the business for many years before Peter Gunn joined him as a partner. Peter then owned and managed the business for many years before it was taken over by his son, Chris Gunn. In December 2012, in what is a very exciting time for our group, CROMA COATINGS VICTORIA is open for business servicing the Victorian market directly.
NEW SOUTH WALES
In July 2000, after a very successful exhibition with the Australian Woodworking Industry Suppliers Association (AWISA) in Sydney, Twenty Two Services Pty Ltd set up its sister company Twenty Two Holdings Pty Ltd trading as CROMA COATINGS. Centrally located in the Sydney suburb of Peakhurst, Croma Coatings has had significant growth in the very competitive New South Wales market and continues to expand in Sydney, greater NSW, Canberra (ACT) and also supplies directly to customers in Brisbane.
QUEENSLAND
In late 2008 we welcomed Colourtone Paint Supplies from the Gold Coast as a new distributor for Queensland. In November 2012, Colourtone Paint Supplies was taken over by Pacific Coatings Pty Ltd. In April 2016, in what is another exciting time for our group, CROMA COATINGS QUEENSLAND opened for business in Yatala servicing the Queensland market directly.
